NFL Power Rankings

1. New England Patriots 11-2 (previous ranking: 1)
The Patriots enjoyed their bye week to get some rest late in the season before they get ready to build on their dominant breakout season with Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel before their playoff run. They will be ready to try to sweep the Bills at home.
2. Los Angeles Rams 10-3 (3)
The Rams took out their frustrations from Carolina by destroying Arizona, this time with Puka Nacua having the most fun to keep lifting Matthew Stafford's MVP chances. The defense also needed a game where it could tee off and cruise in the second half.
3. Green Bay Packers 9-3-1 (5)
The Packers saw a red-hot Jordan Love rip into the Bears to make sure they made more winning plays in the fourth quarter, offensively and defensively. They are making a late case for being a strong Super Bowl 60 favorite from the NFC.

4. Denver Broncos 11-2 (2)
The Broncos didn't need to do much to take down the lifeless Raiders coming off a Week 13 marathon at Washington. Bo Nix was in full control of the game without a comeback for a change.
5. Seattle Seahawks 10-3 (6)
The Seahawks, after shutting out the Seahawks last week, continued their road dominance by ripping into the Falcons with their swarm of big plays on offense, defense and special teams. They can't be forgotten about making a real Super Bowl run out of the NFC.

6. Buffalo Bills 9-4 (7)
The Bills needed Josh Allen to go nuts late to save the day against the Bengals, but it wouldn't have been possible without their defense digging deeper to make big plays. Buffalo keeps looking more like the true AFC team to beat, but New England rematch will provide proof for or against that thinking.

7. San Francisco 49ers 9-4 (8)
The 49ers didn't play and saw both the Rams and Seahawks win to go up ahead of them by a full game each. They will be a little healthier to be more complete for the stretch, starting with another game-well-game at Tennessee.
8. Chicago Bears 9-4 (4)
The Bears have been grinding through games with defense and the running game and Caleb Williams did miss Rome Odunze in Green Bay. Ben Johnson's team is still putting all together as a young, winning NFC contender.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars 9-4 (10)
The Jaguars can't be dismissed as a threat to win the AFC with the way Trevor Lawrence and his weapons have settled well into Liam Coen's offense, especially when backed up a turnover-forcing defense.

10. Philadelphia Eagles 8-4 (9)
The Eagles will try to make up ground on the Rams, Seahawks and Packers by ending their two-game losing skid against a game, though Chargers team on Monday night. A.J. Brown can't let up now after emerging as a big factor.

11. Los Angeles Chargers 8-4 (11)
The Chargers have a tough closing run, led by seeing the Eagles at home. They are helped for the AFC wild-card race with some other teams having more issues, but they need Justin Herbert to play well through injury.
12. Detroit Lions 8-5 (13)
The Lions got their offense back in hyperdrive with Jahmyr Gibbs going supersonic on the Cowboys in Week 14. They need to go right back to revving up for Jared Goff's revenge game at Stafford and the Rams in Week 15.
13. Houston Texans 8-5 (14)
The Texans have flexed enough dominant defense to get into playoff position with four weeks left in the regular season and now are getting needed clutch help from C.J. Stroud and the offense.

15. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-6 (20)
The Steelers woke up offensively with Aaron Rodgers to DK Metcalf leading the way for big plays when needed against the Ravens. Why was Mike Tomlin on the hot seat again?

16. Dallas Cowboys 6-6-1 (15)
The Cowboys' defensive woes have been fixed a little, but not enough to stop explosive NFC offenses. They also have little margin for error around Dak Prescott, which puts too much pressure on him to keep coming through.
17. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-6 (16)
The Buccaneers passing game limitations have caught up to them but their biggest issue now is stopping the run vs. Running back or quarterback. Their tight hold on the NFC South crown is loosening at the wrong time.
18. Carolina Panthers 7-6 (18)
The Panthers pulled into a tie with the Buccaneers without even playing. The teams still play each other in Weeks 16 and 18.
19. Kansas City Chiefs 6-7 (17)
The Chiefs suffered a brutal, physically taxing loss to the Texans on Sunday night, summing up the woes of a shocking sub-.500 season for Patrick Mahomes, the entire offense and the defense.

20. Baltimore Ravens 6-7 (19)
The Ravens are struggling to be smooth offensively with Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry and their defensive leaks against the pass are an equal problem. Their playoff chances are fading fast again.

21. Miami Dolphins 6-7 (21)
The Dolphins have done well to rally for Mike McDaniel with their offensive pieces and defensive improvements vs. An easier second-half slate. He might be saved yet.
22. Minnesota Vikings 5-8 (24)
The Vikings needed that get-well game for J.J. McCarthy and the shutout-pitching defense against the Commanders. He still is facing a tough audit to keep the starting QB job in the final month.
23. Cincinnati Bengals 4-9 (22)
The Bengals lived and died by the arm of Joe Burrow in Buffalo with two big breaks going against them. They will keep playing that way with little left to lose and only everything to gain in the final four games.

24. Atlanta Falcons 4-9 (23)
The Falcons are not competitive with a washed Kirk Cousins trying to save a Drake London-less offense and their defense now getting gashed by downfield pass and power run. Raheem Morris might feel a hotter seat.
25. New Orleans Saints 3-10 (30)
The Saints marched away with a shocking win at Tampa Bay with Tyler Shough and Devin Neal trying to make the case they belong as fixtures in the future.

26. Arizona Cardinals 3-10 (25)
The Cardinals are trying their best to keep up with teams as Jacoby Brissett to Michael Wilson has become a big backup thing, but their defense falling apart so much now is what should make Jonathan Gannon worry most.
27. Washington Commanders 3-10 (23)
The Commanders tried to make Jayden Daniels happen late to end on a positive note but it's adding only another injury to the insult of a disappointing, playoff-less season.
28. New York Jets 3-10 (27)
The Jets went back into the tank against the Dolphins with Tyrod Taylor going down early with no Justin Fields available. Aaron Glenn should get a Year 2, but it's still an uneasy vibe.

29. Cleveland Browns 3-10 (28)
The Browns should be pleased about Shedeur Sanders' play but the rest of the team and the defense falling apart on the Titans isn't the best for Kevin Stefanski.
30. New York Giants 2-11 (29)
The Giants got a bye to avoid a loss in Week 14. They will hope for a smarter and healthier Jaxson Dart taking on the Commanders.

31. Tennessee Titans 2-11 (32)
The Titans got on the board with Cam Ward getting more help than Sanders in Cleveland. Ward needs to keep flashing late to set up the Titans better for their rebuild.
32. Las Vegas Raiders 2-11 (31)
The Raiders are showing little zest beyond young offensive starts and Kenny Pickett playing for Geno Smith caused no change in the winning potential.
