Who plays on 'Monday Night Football' tonight? Time, TV channel, schedule for NFL Week 2 games image

Things go North and South on Monday night.

If Week 1 was any indication of how a prime-time NFL game is must-watch TV, then you'll want to tune into Week 2 — for different reasons, though. The Saints head up to North Carolina to take on division rival Panthers on Monday night, signaling the first meeting of the two NFC South squads in 2023. They both offer intriguing reasons to watch.

LIVE: Follow Saints vs. Panthers updates from 'Monday Night Football'

As it goes, there are always eyes on young quarterbacks, and in this case it's both literal and figurative. Panthers passer Bryce Young suits up for his second matchup after a promising (albeit unsuccessful) debut vs. the Falcons, and the No. 1 overall pick showed flashes of what made him the top selection.

On the other sideline, it's a not-so-young passer who's catching eyeballs. Derek Carr led the Saints to 16-15 Week 1 win over the tough-nosed Titans. Carr is set for his first NFC South action in New Orleans, and it comes in primetime.

In the other "Monday Night Football" game scheduled to play this week, the Steelers look to wash the stench of a poor Week 1 showing against the Browns' killer defense. Pittsburgh was punched in the mouth by NFC champion hopeful San Francisco in Week 1, an unlikely performance for a Mike Tomlin-coached team. It doesn't get easier when they face off against Myles Garrett and a strong Cleveland D on Monday.

It's a southern showdown and a northern confrontation to close out Week 2. Here's how to watch the "MNF" twin bill tonight:
