What channel is Jaguars vs. Lions on today? Time, TV schedule, live stream for NFL Week 2 preseason game image

Two of 2023's most hyped teams face off in Week 2 of the preseason for a good old fashioned cat matchup as the Lions host the  Jaguars at Ford Field.

Jacksonville went where Detroit wanted to be last year, going to the playoffs and winning a game in spectacular comeback fashion against the Chargers. The Lions missed the playoffs by a game, with the Seahawks taking the final NFC wild card spot.

Week 2 of the preseason doesn't generally give starters many reps -- if any at all -- so don't expect to see Trevor Lawrence and Jared Goff squaring off in the Motor City. Instead, we will likely get a heavy dose of Teddy Bridgewater for the Lions and C.J. Beathard for the Jaguars.

Running back remains an interesting position for the Lions as well, with Jahmyr Gibbs battling with David Montgomery for reps. For Jacksonville, Tank Bigsby and JaMycal Hasty are also trying to get carries spelling Travis Etienne Jr.

Lions vs. Jaguars start time

  • Date: Saturday, Aug. 19
  • Time: 1 p.m. ET

The Lions and Jaguars are set to kick off at 1 p.m. ET on Saturday on the NFL Network.

The Lions will be hosting Jacksonville at Ford Field, where the Jaguars found themselves utterly outmatched by the Lions in 2022. The Lions won a 40-14 laugher in December, so Doug Pederson and company are looking for a taste of revenge.
