Jaxson Dart injury update: Latest news, updates as Giants QB is evaluated for concussion image

Jaxson Dart has been a revelation for the New York Giants, since the rookie quarterback ignited the team's offense this year.

However, New York has dealt with many injuries on that side of the ball, and Dart is now part of that group. While the Giants were leading their game against the Chicago Bears, Dart had to come off the field and be evaluated by medical staff, leading to Russell Wilson coming in as relief.

Here's the latest on Dart's injury status.

Dart was officially ruled out of the Giants’ Week 10 clash vs. The Bears with a concussion. After the game, head coach Brian Daboll spoke about the quarterback and his injury. He said, "as he was going back out on the field, just didn't seem right." Daboll said he called the trainers over and said that Dart needed to get looked at. So the concussion evaluation didn't happen right after Dart's fumble, but according to Daboll, when he was going back on the field.

It's unclear exactly when the injury occurred, although it may have happened on a running play, as Dart fumbled the ball while being taken to the ground.

On the next drive, Wilson came out on the field with the offense, while Dart was seen walking gingerly to the locker room. Fox's Pam Oliver reported that Dart was being evaluated by the medical staff for a concussion. According to Daboll's comments, Dart tried to go back in the game, but was pulled by the team to get checked out.

Dart has run a lot in his rookie season, which has led to many big hits as he acclimates to the NFL.
