Trevor Harris has lived quite the football life.

And on Sunday, he hoisted the Grey Cup for the third time, leading the Saskatchewan Roughriders past the Montreal Alouettes, 25-17.

Harris played a brilliant football game, completing 23-of-27 passes for 302 yards.

He's a long way from home.

Harris grew up in Marion, Ohio, where he went to Pleasant High School. He threw for 23 touchdowns as a senior and 59 TDs in his career that included All-Ohio honors.

From there, Harris went to Division II Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.

He was twice a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy, which is the D-II Heisman.

In his final game, he set a Division II record with 630 passing yards in a playoff game, which Edinboro lost against West Liberty, 84-63.

At Edinboro overall, Harris threw for 11,899 yards and 100 TDs.

He signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars after the 2010 draft but was waived in the preseason.

From there, he played in the AFL and the UFL, then signed briefly with the Buffalo Bills.

He originally came to the CFL in 2012 with the Toronto Argonauts.

Then he played for the Ottawa Redblacks, the Edmonton Eskimos and the Montreal Alouettes before joining Saskatchewan in free agency in February 2023.

In his CFL career, Harris has thrown for 37,697 yards and 204 touchdowns.

And now, for the third time, he's a champion.
