Myles McLaughlin is on the brink.
The superstar high school running back from Knox (Indiana) is knocking on the door of the national HS rushing yardage record currently held by NFL great Derrick Henry.
On Friday night, McLaughlin ran for 372 yards. It came on a major stage, as Knox knocked off Angola 28-21 to win its second regional title in the last three years and move on to semi-state.
McLaughlin scored all four touchdowns for Knox.

McLaughlin now needs 411 yards to pass Henry.
Henry, who played his high school ball in Florida, ran for 12,124 yard with 153 TDs as a high school player.
Recently, NFL reporter Kay Adams asked Henry about the idea of his record being broken.
"He's a beast," Henry said. "Go break it, man. Records are meant to be broken."
McLaughlin has now run for 4,786 yards.
That's the most a high school running back has ever run for in a single season in the history of MaxPreps data.
He also set the mark for single-season rushing TDs nationally.
All that's left to do is break Henry's record.
Knox might need one more win in there, and McLaughlin will certainly be the guy leading them toward that and potentially leading himself toward history.
