The Philadelphia Eagles’ season has been more “survive and advance” than total domination, but the wins keep piling up. The Eagles entered Week 11 as the NFC’s No. 1 seed and riding a three-game win streak, including a narrow victory over the Green Bay Packers in Week 10.
If any team is going to threaten Philadelphia’s place atop the NFC, it could be the Detroit Lions. Last year’s No. 1 seed has already exceeded its 2024 loss total, but the Lions are coming off an explosive offensive performance against the Washington Commanders and have scored at least 34 points in five of their six wins this season.
Whether Detroit’s offense can sustain that kind of success against a tough Eagles defense is the burning question entering "Sunday Night Football." Dan Campbell has taken the reins of the offense from coordinator John Morton, gaining control of play-calling, but the Eagles made Matt LaFleur and the Packers’ offense look completely out of sorts in Week 10.
While the Eagles would like to take a major step toward securing the No. 1 seed in the NFC, there’s more on the line for the Lions on Sunday night. Detroit is locked in a tight three-way race atop the NFC North and holds a playoff spot by only a half-game margin in a crowded conference. A win could put the Lions in the No. 1 seed discussion, but a loss would be a major setback in a division that doesn’t leave much room for error.
