DeSean Jackson is making an immediate impact at Delaware State.

The Philadelphia Eagles legend is now the head coach at FCS Delaware State, an HBCU that is three games into its first season under Jackson's leadership.

It's been a great start.

The Hornets are 2-1, which is already more wins than they had in either 2024 or 2023.

It's also the first winning streak of any sort for Delaware State since 2022, with Jackson's squad having won back-to-back games after losing their opener.

Delaware State also has the No. 1 rushing offense in FCS.

And their quarterback, Kaiden Bennett, leads FCS in scoring with already 42 points.

They opened the season with a 35-17 loss to in-state rival Delaware.

Jackson's first win came the following week at home in an epic rally past Albany to win, 37-32.

Delaware State beat Bowie State last Saturday, 36-14, to move to 2-1.

Up next is a trip to St. Francis (PA) this Saturday.

Delaware State's schedule will then include Sacred Heart, Monmouth, Southern Connecticut State, NC Central, Norfolk State, Morgan State, Howard and South Carolina State.

Jackson's impact won't be measured by wins, but winning always helps get the other goals accomplished, too.

And right now, Jackson has the Hornets buzzing.
