A new angle of Pittsburgh Steelers' receiver DK Metcalf's confrontation with a Detroit Lions fan has come out. And while it shows that Metcalf didn't punch the fan, as it initially looked, it also doesn't portray the Pittsburgh receiver in the greatest light.

The video, which was originally posted by a fan on Instagram and later shared on X by the Bussin' With The Boys account, shows Metcalf walking over to the fan, who was standing in the front row behind the Pittsburgh bench and leaning slightly out onto the field. Metcalf grabbed the fan's clothing, pulled him down and exchanged brief words before shoving him back up. The shoving motion was caught on television and appeared to be a punch.

Of course, we don't know what was said. Still, it's hard to imagine this coming out well for Metcalf.

This wasn't a situation that you're more likely to see at an NBA or MLB game, where the fans are right on top of the players in some spots. Yes, the fan was in the front row and behind the Pittsburgh sideline. But he was still several yards away from the bench. Also, the physical contact was entirely initiated by Metcalf. The fan might have said something unsavory but with no threats apparent, it's hard to justify Metcalf being the physical aggressor.

Even with the revelation that this was not a punch, Metcalf can still expect discipline, as this is not a good look.
