This feels like a fact that everyone should know.
But when it came up on the NBC broadcast of Sunday Night Football, it caught everyone's attention.
NBC's Mike Tirico was talking about Los Angeles Chargers running back Kimani Vidal.
And Tirico let the national audience know that Vidal is related to Hank Aaron. Yes, that Aaron, officially Henry Aaron, one of the greatest home run hitters in MLB history.

How is Kimani Vidal related to Hank Aaron?
Kimani Vidal is Hank Aaron's great nephew.
Vidal is a second-year running back out of Troy who is playing a lot for the Chargers as they miss both Najee Harris and Omarion Hampton due to injury.
Aaron starred for the Atlanta Braves. He hit 755 home runs in his career. At the time, he became the MLB home run king when he passed Babe Ruth (714). Barry Bonds has since passed Aaron.
Henry Aaron was called "Hammerin' Hank."
Moments after Tirico mentioned the relation on the broadcast, Vidal hammered his way into the end zone on a run for a goal-line touchdown.
