The young quarterback has been in hot water for the way he, and his father, reportedly handled the NFL Draft process in 2024. Williams was the consensus No. 1 pick, and with his dad advising him, allegedly explored all options available to him before deciding he wanted to play in Chicago.
Williams' father is one of the higher-profile parents in the NFL, as his influence on his son is bigger than most parents'. However, the trust that Williams has in his family is rooted in how much they supported him through his childhood.
Here's a breakdown of Williams' parents and how they've played a role in his NFL career.

Caleb Williams dad: Carl Williams
Carl Williams is a former Oklahoma State football player who became a real estate developer and owner of Athletic Republic Capitol Region, a gym and training facility in Maryland.
Williams, along with some of his friends, created a rigid routine for Caleb to follow as a kid, with the goal of becoming a professional. That included waking up predawn to workout, going to sleep early and private quarterback tutoring.
"A lot of people think that everything has come easier, natural, to him," Carl said, via GQ. "And that's the furthest thing from the truth. His desire to follow this dream all the way through has been a marvel to watch."
“There’s no roadmap to becoming the best #NFL quarterback in the world. A kid just needs direction.” -Carl Williams

Williams became so involved in his son's career that it almost changed the landscape of the NFL. When Caleb Williams entered the draft process in 2024, he reportedly entertained the idea of forcing his way away from Chicago.
ESPN's Seth Wickersham reported on the situation for his book, explaining that Carl Williams told him, "Chicago is the place quarterbacks go to die."
"I don't want my son playing for the Bears," Williams reportedly told agents in 2024, according to Wickersham.
While Carl Williams' method of support may look too intrusive from the outside, Caleb's father is confident he just does what's best for his kid.
"This is Caleb’s dream since fifth grade, not my dream," he said, via Yahoo.
Is Caleb Williams' dad a sports agent?
No, Carl Williams is not a certified sports agent.
Although he has been a big part of his son's support system and decision-making, Carl Williams is not an NFLPA-approved agent. His full-time job is as a real estate developer and owner of a gym and training facility in the Washington D.C. area.
That being said, Carl does lead Caleb's representation, which started during the NFL Draft process. It doesn't appear that Caleb Williams hired an official agent after entering the NFL, so Carl remains the biggest business voice in his career.

Caleb Williams mom: Dayna Price
Williams' mother, Dayna Price, isn't quite as involved in the quarterback's life as his dad.
Price is a nail technician, which is a big reason why Williams often sports painted nails on the field. However, she did play volleyball in college at the University of Maryland, giving both of Williams' parents athletic backgrounds.
When Williams was four years old, he approached Price about playing football, and at first she was skeptical.
"Oh no! That's a dangerous sport. So, I told him no," Price said. "And he was just like, 'please.' So, they had a flag football program, so I put him in flag. And then the coaches came to me after the season and said, 'he's a little too tough for flag football.' They said, 'he wants to tackle the kids!' So, I ended up allowing him to go to regular football."
However, Price explained that Williams makes sure she doesn't get too involved in his life and career.
"I'm not his momager and he makes sure of it. He's a grown man," Price said. "Sometimes he like, 'mom, why are you here? Don't you have your own place?'"
I enjoyed spending time with Caleb Williams’ precious mother, Dayna Price.
