As if the New York Jets didn't have enough problems on offense already, the team is missing wide receiver Garrett Wilson because of an injury.
Wilson was ruled out on Friday thanks to his knee injury, which marks the second straight week he won't play. Making matters worse, the Jets also won't have Josh Reynolds, which leaves Justin Fields with very little to work with.
With the Jets on a bye in Week 9, the next time we could see Wilson take the field is Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns.
Here's what we know about his chances of doing so.
Will Garrett Wilson return in Week 10?
We don't have a definitive answer to this question, although all signs point to Wilson being ready to go coming out of the Week 9 bye.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Oct. 13, Wilson is dealing with a hyperextended knee and is expected to miss "a couple of weeks."
Considering he'll be three weeks removed from his injury at the start of Week 10, there remains a strong chance Wilson will be able to go for that contest.
Which quarterback Wilson comes back to remains to be seen, though.
The Jets appeared set to bench Fields for Tyrod Taylor this week after the former was benched last week following yet another horrible game.
However, Taylor was ruled out with a knee injury, so Fields gets at least another week to right the ship.
It's safe to say that if Fields doesn't drastically improve, we could see Taylor in Week 10, which would probably be good news for Wilson.
