A new name popped up for casual New York Jets fans on Sunday: Jeremy Ruckert.
Ruckert was making some plays as the Jets took on the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 of the NFL regular season.
It's been a long time coming for Ruckert in the NFL. And he's combining with rookie Mason Taylor to create a solid tight end depth chart.

Who is Jeremy Ruckert?
Jeremy Ruckert is a 25-year old tight end for the New York Jets.
He's relatively local. He attended Lindenhurst High School on Long Island.
As a senior, he was New York's Gatorade Football Player of the Year.

He had his best season as a senior, with 26 catches for 309 yards and three TDs.

In 2022, he had just one catch.
In 2023, he had 16 catches for 151 yards.
And in 2024, it was 18 catches for 105 yards.
He's trying to outdo all of that in the 2025 season.
