Diego Pavia was one of the best players in college football this season.
That earned him runner-up in the Heisman Trophy voting, and he's made Vanderbilt football as relevant as it has ever been.
That doesn't necessarily translate to NFL prospects, though.
Pavia appears to be shorter than his listed 6-feet tall, and he's not known for having a prolific arm.

That didn't stop WFAN radio host Joe Benigno from saying that Pavia should be drafted by the New York Jets in the second round.
Checked in on Joe Benigno on WFAN. Wants the Jets to draft Pavia in round 2 and hire Wink Martendale as DC.

Still has his fastball.
That is the highest you are going to hear anyone say Pavia should be drafted. No one else will go to that level.
It's not even clear whether Pavia would get drafted in the later rounds or go undrafted. His outburst after not winning the Heisman won't help his cause, either.

Pavia is a special kind of football player, a never-give-up, gritty, athletically well-rounded winner.
But at his size and with his arm limitations, Pavia doesn't project as a prolific NFL player.
Maybe he proves the league wrong, too. But he won't be going in round two.
