The New York Jets are the lone winless team in the NFL after six weeks.

It's been a disappointing start, as the team had hoped to be more competitive this year with a new coaching staff and quarterback. To be fair, the team hasn't looked terrible all year, as only two games have been decided by more than one score.

Still, at 0-6, the Jets can almost definitely kiss their playoff chances goodbye. As a result, it won't be surprising to see the team listen to trade offers on some key veterans.

NFL insider Michael Rapoport recently provided an update on trade buzz, including for the Jets. Rapoport sees Breece Hall, Michael Carter II, and Jermaine Johnson II as the most likely players to be traded.

Regarding that trio, Rapoport offered the following:

The Jets are a target for teams, as well. Running back Breece Hall has gotten the headlines, but there appears to be more of a chance that a defender like cornerback Michael Carter II could be dealt. Perhaps even 2022 first-round pass rusher Jermaine Johnson II, a pick of the previous regime, could be traded.

As Rapoport mentioned, Hall is the biggest name but it seems more likely a defender like Carter or Johnson gets moved instead.

In 2025, Carter has played in four games and has 13 tackles, one tackle for loss, and two pass deflections. Pro Football Focus has not been a fan of his play so far, but he's graded out highly in the past.

Carter signed an extension with the Jets last fall, but that was with the previous regime. Now, the new regime may seek to get what they can for him, and many teams would likely be interested in a nickel corner like Carter. Thanks to the extension, Carter is under contract through 2027.

Johnson, meanwhile, has played in three games this year and has 12 tackles, one sack, and one tackle for loss. Pro Football Focus gives Johnson a solid 67.8 grade and several contenders would likely be interested in adding Johnson for more juice off the edge.

Johnson is under contract through 2026, so he wouldn't be a pure rental, either.

Hall has been good this year, but he's headed for free agency after the season. If the Jets don't think they can re-sign the running back, they'd be smart to get what they can for him now. Hall has rushed for 410 yards so far and added 150 receiving yards as well.

The Jets take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 7, and if they still can't get a win, expect the trade buzz to get even louder.
