When the New York Jets ended their 2024 season with a 5-12, in third place in the AFC East and outside of the postseason, we knew who the team would be taking on in 2025. However, to this point, we're still waiting to find out when those games will take place.
While the full schedule will come later this week, the league announced on Monday morning that the season opener will be between the Dallas Cowboys and Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field on Thursday, Sept. 4.

Jets 2025 strength of schedule
After finishing near the bottom of the AFC and in third-place in the AFC East in 2024, the Jets don't exactly have the most difficult schedule this upcoming year.
According to Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis, who uses projected win totals from Vegas oddsmakers to calculate strength of schedule, the Jets sport the 15th-toughest slate in the NFL, and the eighth-toughest in the conference.
