The New York Jets made a brutal announcement on Garrett Wilson ahead of Thursday Night Football against the New England Patriots in Week 11.
After Wilson's return in Week 10 against the Cleveland Browns, he reaggravated his knee injury, and there was long-term concern with his injury.
Now, the Jets officially announced that Wilson is landing on injured reserve with a knee injury, keeping the standout receiver out for the next four weeks at minimum.
The Jets place Garrett Wilson on IR after a brutal knee re-injury
Wilson will miss Week 11 against the Patriots, and then miss Weeks 12, 13, and 14 at minimum. He's landing on injured reserve after initially coming back from a knee injury following the team's bye week.
But, against the Browns, he aggravated his knee injury, was forced out, nd now will miss four more weeks, starting with the Jets Thursday night Football matchup against the Patriots.
Taking over for Wilson in the Jets offense are wide receivers John Metchie, Adonai Mitchell, Tyler Johnson, Arian Smith, Isaiah Williams, and Allen Lazard.

Tight end Mason Taylor is also likely to see an increased workload with Wilson out, as the Jets need to find ways to move the ball through the air without their best offensive weapon.
Breece Hall will contribute, but the lack of a field-stretching number one option will hurt the offense for the next four weeks at least.
Wilson can come back in Week 15, but depending on how the season has gone until that point, and where Wilson stands in his recovery, the Jets might not activate him.
If Wilson's season is over, he will have had just 36 receptions for 295 yards and four touchdowns across seven games.
