Justin Fields will get an immediate chance at revenge.

The New York Jets host the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1, the NFL officially announced in its Wednesday night schedule release.

And while much of the focus could wind up being on Aaron Rodgers going back to take on the Jets, don't forget about the other side of things.

Fields started the first six games of the 2024 season for the Steelers with Russell Wilson injured. He went 4-2.

But Pittsburgh still opted to bench Fields for Russ the rest of the way.

Fields left this offseason in free agency to sign a two-year, $40 million deal with the Jets.

The Steelers didn't show much interest in bringing him back, more interested in pursuing the 41-year old Rodgers.

Fields had finally started to show some growth as a passer in 2024, but Pittsburgh evidently didn't want to see if he could continue to develop.

He'll get a chance to put on Jets green and show Pittsburgh what they're missing.

Man, it'd be sweet revenge if Fields could upstage Rodgers in a Week 1 victory.
