The New York Jets have had a forgettable start to their 2025 season. They are the only winless team in the NFL with an 0-5 record, and the team is approaching the first trade deadline under the new general manager, Darren Mougey, and head coach, Aaron Glenn.
Among the few names that have been the subject of recent trade rumors is running back Breece Hall.
Should the Jets trade Breece Hall?
After the slow start to the season, the Jets likely aren't going to be in playoff contention this season, which opens the door for many trade options to happen.
In a recent Pro Football Rumors article, Hall's name is mentioned:
"ESPN’s Rich Cimini writes New York has provided “no indication” Hall is being shopped. A deal allowing him to remain with the Jets could of course still be possible after the campaign, although with a regime other than the one which drafted the former second-rounder now in place, a departure would not be entirely surprising."
The NFL trade deadline is just under a month away, and expect the Jets to be at the forefront of rumors, as they do still have quality options, like Breece Hall, that other organizations may want to add to their roster.
Hall has 351 yards in his first five games this season, and has yet to score a touchdown. The former second-rounder out of Iowa State is in his fourth season with the Jets, and he's been unable to elevate the offense like they'd hoped when New York drafted him in 2022.
