Jets' Aaron Glenn strongly defends Justin Fields as his starting quarterback image

The New York Jets lost to the Denver Broncos in Week 6 in London, 13-11. It was a brutal game for the Jets' offense, as they couldn't manage much of anything offensively, either on the ground or through the air.

Justin Fields had his worst game as a Jets starter against a tough Broncos defense. Following the game, Aaron Glenn was critical of his offense, being very candid about the team's struggles against the Broncos.

But when one reporter asked whether Fields would still be the team's starting quarterback, Glenn clapped back at the reporter and defended his quarterback. Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team shared the heated interaction between Glenn and the reporter.

Glenn was asked, "Is he going to be your quarterback next week?" In response, Glenn provided a clear response that shut down any immediate change to the quarterback room.

"Come on, man," Glenn said, "What kind of question is that? ... There's a number of guys that, you know ... sometimes it's like this and they're guys that have bad games, that doesn't mean you bench him. Come on, you know better than that."

This is a very strong defense from Glenn, as he's calling the reporter into question for asking if Fields is still the starter. After how rough the Jets looked, it's not hard to imagine a quarterback change could be coming.

Fields completed nine passes on 17 attempts for just 45 yards while being sacked nine times for 55 yards lost. On the ground, Fields ran for 31 yards on seven attempts.

The Jets' offense was far from ideal, as they went 2 for 15 on third downs and had a total of just 82 yards of offense in Week 6. Fields' struggles against the Broncos were too much to ignore, and there should be some debate internally over what to do at the quarterback position.

Fields has yet to throw an interception this season, but he has lost a fumble, and in this Broncos game, he struggled to get anything going through the air.

The 26-year-old has struggled this season, and this Broncos performance in London was the worst he's looked all year. But, despite his struggles, Glenn's defense indicates that Fields is still the team's starter.

New York could make a quarterback change at some point this season, especially with how much Fields struggled against the Broncos. But for now, Fields is likely to remain the starter based on Glenn's comments.
