After finishing the 2024 season with a 5-12 record and in third place in the AFC East, the New York Jets turned over their front office and coaching staff this offseason, and with that, came many changes to the roster.

While the releases of quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Davante Adams were the headline moves, they also moved on from other key contributors like linebacker C.J. Mosley.

Mosley, 32, has yet to find a job after two months on the market, but NFL Trade Rumor's Logan Ulrich recently identified the New York Giants as a top landing spot for the veteran linebacker.

Mosley was a first-round pick (No. 17 overall) of the Baltimore Ravens in the 2014 NFL draft following a collegiate career at Alabama that included two national championships, two All-American seasons, two All-SEC seasons and an SEC Defensive Player of the Year Award.

In Baltimore, Mosley shined, making four Pro Bowls and four All-Pro teams in his five years with the Ravens while recording 579 tackles (43 for a loss), 35 passes defensed, 32 quarterback hits, nine interceptions, 8.5 sacks, six forced fumbles and six fumble recoveries.

Mosley inked a five-year, $85 million deal with New York in 2019, but he suffered a groin injury in his first season that limited him to just two games played before opting out of the 2020 season due to COVID-19.

The linebacker returned for three strong seasons, including another Pro Bowl and All-Pro year in 2022, but he appeared in just four games in 2024 due to multiple injuries.

In those four games, Mosley finished with just 17 tackles.

The Giants may be out on starting linebacker Bobby Okereke, who played 67.2% of their defensive snaps last year, according to the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard. Adding Mosley could give them another veteran to play a significant role in Shane Bowen's defense that allowed 24.4 points per game (20th) and 346.8 yards per game (23rd) last year.
