The New York Jets are 3-13, and while the season is just about over, there have been very few positive takeaways from this season.

Justin Fields has been a disaster, the defense hasn't forced an interception all season long, and no receiver has more than 395 yards this season. But that doesn't mean it's all negative, despite how brutal a year it's been.

Nick Folk has been a good story, the trade deadline moves look to be great decisions, but the lone positive from this season from a long-term, on-field standpoint has been the play of right tackle Armand Membou.

Jets' Armand Membou is a lone bright spot amid bleak 2025 season

ESPN analyst Ben Solak named Membou as his first-team All-Rookie right tackle for the 2025 season. While he's not perfect, Membou has more than proven he was worth the seventh overall draft pick.

"But snap to snap," Solak writes, "he has a solid floor and a high ceiling in pass protection due to his tremendous grip strength and the reach to catch and control speedy rushers."

Finding a franchise offensive tackle isn't the easiest task for a front office, but after the last two drafts, with Olu Fashanu and now Membou, the Jets tackle spots are secure for years to come.

If there was one main positive to take away from the 2025 season for the Jets, it would be that Membou is a stellar player and was the right draft pick for the Jets.

At the time of his selection, he seemed like the obvious choice. And now, entering Week 18 of the NFL season, he's more than proven he's been worth that top draft choice.

Solak put it succinctly, "He's an impactful player." Membou is a great draft pick from Darren Mougey and the Jets, and is reason to have some confidence over the next two offseasons as the Jets attempt a major rebuild.
