Aaron Rodgers was largely written off after the 2024 season. He led the New York Jets to just five wins and was released after the team went through severe changes, including hiring head coach Aaron Glenn.
While few had high expectations for Rodgers after he signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers, he threw 24 touchdowns to just seven interceptions and helped the Steelers win their first AFC North championship since 2020, including a game of the year candidate win in Week 18 over the Baltimore Ravens to win the division.
Aaron Rodgers takes a dig at New York Jets
Speaking about the year he has had with the Steelers, Rodgers pointed out that nothing leaves the building and that it is a very tight-knit group.
"There aren't any leaks in the boat," Rodgers said. "It's the antithesis of where I was....to be able to focus on football and not have a lot of other little bullshit out there has been really nice."
Rodgers was with the Jets for two seasons, where it was a nonstop media fiasco, specifically in 2024 after the firing of Robert Saleh.
Rodgers and the Steelers will face the Houston Texans on Monday night to close out wild card weekend. The Steelers are hoping to avoid a loss that would extend their streak of seasons without a playoff win to nine.
