As we turn the page to Week 12, all eyes will be on New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Dart suffered a concussion in Week 10 that forced his early exit from the game. He was unable to practice last week before he was ultimately ruled out.

Concussions can be tricky, so there's no telling if Dart will be able to play in the Week 12 game against the Detroit Lions.

Here are the latest injury updates on Dart.

Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka touched on Dart's Week 12 status on Monday, saying it is unclear if the rookie signal-caller will be able to play.

"Jaxson's still in the protocol. So I'm just gonna see that through, talk with the medical," Kakfa said, per the New York Daily News' Pat Leonard. "And when they give us the thumbs up, we'll take our next action."

Not a surprising answer given how early in the week it is. We'll know more on Wednesday, when the Giants put out their first injury report of the week.

Will Jaxson Dart return in Week 12?

Based on Kafka's comment, Dart's status is very much up in the air.

However, according to Ryan Dunleavy of The New York Post, there is at least a shot that Dart will play on Sunday after he was spotted on the practice field on Friday, which showed he's making progress in the concussion protocol.

"Dart was on the field during media-viewed stretching Friday, his first sighting since he suffered a concussion last Sunday," Dunleavy wrote. "Dart likely is in Phase 2 of the five-step protocol and, barring any setbacks, he could be in line to practice late next week and then play against the Lions."

If Dart doesn't play, the Giants will hand the ball to Jameis Winston once again.

Winston completed 19-of-29 passes for 201 yards and one interception in the 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.

It could have been much worse, though, as Winston was nearly picked off on several passes.
