Russell Wilson probably didn't expect his 2025 NFL season to go the way it did.
After just three starts for the New York Giants, Russ was benched in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart. The ex-Seahawks Super Bowl champion saw the field a few more times, but that was mostly that for his campaign.
Now 37 years old, Wilson could be viewed as a retirement candidate.
He doesn't see himself that way, though.
"I’m not blinking," Wilson said, via ESPN's Jordan Raanan. "I know what I’m capable of. I think I showed that in Dallas."

He's referencing Week 2 against the Cowboys, a game the Giants took to overtime before losing.
That day, Wilson was 30-for-41 for 450 yards and three touchdowns.
The rest of the season, he was a combined 39-for-78 for 381 yards and no touchdowns.
Wilson spent the first 10 years of his NFL career with the Seahawks.
Then it was two with the Broncos, one with the Steelers and now this campaign with the Giants.

It's unlikely a team would bring him in next season as a starter, although maybe he could land somewhere as veteran competition for a young player, like with J.J. McCarthy in Minnesota.
Russ could even choose to come back to the Giants and be Dart's backup, if they'd have him.
It's clear his career is winding down, but he doesn't want to be done yet.
