Russell Wilson is the New York Giants new starting quarterback.

For now.

Don't think for a second that things are done in the New York QB room. You don't have to look far.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Wilson's deal is for one year and $21 million. One year is the key here.

The Giants needed a viable starting quarterback, and they might almost have two when you consider the veteran presence of Jameis Winston.

But what they don't have yet is a QB of the future.

The No. 3 pick in the NFL Draft could still be used to fill that need (Shedeur Sanders, anyone?). There have also been mock drafts that predict the Giants will trade back into the first round and end up with someone like Jaxson Dart.

Schefter tweeted Tuesday night that "Another QB up high could still be an option."

Regardless, this can't be done yet. The Giants don't know who their quarterback will be in 2026.

All we know now is that Wilson looks to be the guy in 2025.
