NFL hit Giants' Deonte Banks with a drug test after his best play of the season image

New York Giants cornerback Deonte Banks made his biggest play of the season on Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Banks took a kickoff back 95 yards for a return touchdown, finding himself in the clear for a triumphant sprint to the end zone in what has been a relatively frustrating season for the high-pedigree defensive back.

The NFL noticed.

After the game, Banks was given a slip for a drug test.

The postgame drug tests are supposed to be given out randomly. But there seems to be a tendency for guys who had big games to get called.

Banks shared this reality on his Instagram story:

Of course, Banks' return may not have been the favorite of every Giants fan.

He helped them win a game that knocked them out of the spot for the No. 1 overall pick in favor of the Raiders.

But it's a big moment for Banks' career to prove he's explosive, and he just had to deal with the postgame reality that the NFL gave him.
