The New York Giants put a beatdown on the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday night and rookies Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo led the charge.

Skattebo, who was bulldozing Eagles defenders all night long, carried the rock 19 times for 98 yards and scored three of the Giants' touchdowns in the 34-17 win. Skattebo added two catches for 12 yards for good measure.

But Dart was even more impressive after completing 17-of-25 passes for 195 yards and one touchdown while also adding 13 carries for 58 yards and another score. Dart didn't throw an interception.

It wasn't just about the numbers with Dart, though.

He looked the part of the franchise quarterback the Giants thought they were going to get when they drafted him. Dart was poised in the pocket and made accurate throws, and his athleticism was on full display in the best showing of his career.

Thanks to their impressive performances, Dart and Skattebo have rightly made believers out of Giants fans and the NFL world.

"This is a stunning showing. The rookies in the backfield have provided an incredible spark," The Athletic's Dan Duggan wrote.

"The attitude change that Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo brought -- too young to know losing and a 'take no s***' edge -- is showing up against Giants biggest bully," Ryan Dunleavy of The New York Post wrote.

"Jaxson Dart is really really good," Andrew Fillipponi of 93.7 The Fan said.

“Don’t ever underestimate what the value of a QB beyond X’s & O’s can do to a franchise….and we’re watching it right now in front of us with Jaxson Dart," announcer Kirk Herbstreit said during the broadcast.

"Remember this night. The night Jaxson Dart cemented his status as your franchise quarterback. And the night that Cam Skattebo became a Giants legend," a Giants fan exclaimed.

"Since Jaxson Dart & Cam Skattebo became starters…the Giants look & play like a different team. Energy is REAL," NFL analyst Derek Brown said.

"Guys are just bouncing off of Cam Skattebo. Impressive to see. Guy is such a violent runner," Connor Hughes of SNY said.

Dart showed exactly why the Giants made the switch. New York desperately needed a spark and the rookie is giving them that in spades.

If he keeps this up, head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen might just keep their jobs, but there's still a long way to go.

With the win, the Giants move to 2-4 on the season and now have a head of steam and hope thanks to their rookies. After a few extra days off, the Giants will look to get a winning streak going in a Week 7 game against the Denver Broncos.
