Take records out of the equation for a second. What Jaxson Dart, and Cam Skattebo for that matter, have brought to the city of New York and to the Giants fan base can't be measured in wins and losses. It doesn't show up in a stat sheet - it echoes in the East Rutherford night with the chants "Go Big Blue" following a 17-point win over the defending Super Bowl champions. It's something New York football fans haven't felt since names like Manning, Barber, and Strahan were on the sideline - hope.

For the first time in what seems like forever, the New York Giants are exciting. Their electric young running back is the first Giants rookie since 1971 to have three rushing scores in a game. Dart didn't turn the ball over after doing so three times in Week 5, and had two total touchdowns. The Giants put up 366 total yards of offense as their young back totaled over 100 yards from scrimmage, and their rookie quarterback put on another dual-threat performance to lead the team to victory with big-time throws, big-time runs, and a showcased ability to extend plays and make things happen.

On top of that, you can feel the shift in vibe when No. 6 is on the field and when he isn't. You can see how confident the team and Brian Daboll are with Dart under center and when Skattebo is toting the rock. Vibes aren't nothing when it comes to the NFL. I hate the term "aura," but for lack of a better term, both Dart and Skattebo bring a lot of that to the table.

We don't know what the win-loss record will look like when Week 18 concludes. We don't know if the Giants will be a playoff team. What we do know, though, is that these Giants are not the New York Giants we've grown to know and hate. This Giants team isn't going to put up 16 points per game while losing by two scores on a weekly basis and playing uninspired football.

These Giants are going to be a massive thorn in the side of whomever they line up against, and they've shown over the last three weeks that they can beat the best the NFL has to offer with a young duo that has shown they will put their bodies on the line to bring victories to a city that has been starving for a winner.
