The New York Giants had a successful 2025 NFL Draft, and it didn't end with the final pick.

They quickly dug into the undrafted free agent ranks, and they may have unearthed a gem at the running back position.

The Giants agreed to a deal with Rushawn Baker, out of Elon University.

Baker's Raw Athletic Score, based on his pro day testing, ranked 191st out of more than 2,000 running backs tested since 1987.

That included a 38.5-inch vertical and impressive 20-yard and 10-yard splits on his 40-yard dash (2.56, 1.52) along with a 4.52-second 40-yard dash itself.

Baker ran for more than 150 yards in each of his last three Elon games.

The power runner is originally from Victor, New York, just east of Rochester. He began his college career at Bucknell before transferring to Elon for the 2024 season.

At about 6-foot tall and 225 pounds, Baker is a punishing runner.

The Giants have a crowded running back depth chart after the drafting of Cam Skattebo in the fourth round to play with Tyrone Tracy and Devin Singletary.

Eric Gray is entering his third season but hasn't shown much, though. Baker can make a run at a practice squad spot, probably, with room for more down the road.

He'll certainly look the part in whatever opportunities the Giants give him.
