New York Giants quarterback Russell Wilson responded publicly on Instagram after being benched in favor of rookie Jaxson Dart on Tuesday. The veteran has shared a message of faith amid a challenging moment in his career.

In an Instagram story, Wilson posted the Bible verse Ephesians 3:20: "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us."

The Giants made the decision on Tuesday after three games marked by inconsistency from Wilson, who completed 59.1% of his passes for 778 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions. The team is now 0-3.

Dart, the 25th pick in this year's draft out of Ole Miss, will make his first NFL start on Sunday at MetLife Stadium against the undefeated Los Angeles Chargers. He had served as Wilson's backup for the opening three games.
