The Giants are coming off a dismal last-place season, ending the year with a 3-14 record in the NFC East. The combination of coach Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen remain intact, giving them one last shot to get the franchise back on the winning track.
They have made changes in personnel with additions like Jevon Holland, Paulson Adebo along with All-Star potential in Abdul Carter, and the arrival of Russell Wilson at quarterback. All of the upgrades should see their win tally increase but still, it would be a surprise if the Giants make it to the playoffs.
The Giants have one of the toughest schedule in NFL based on the combined winning percentage (.571) of its 14 opponents. They face 10 winning teams and 10 playoff teams, make it even more challenging as they hope for a big turnaround in NFC East.
The lack of offensive firepower remains a concern, with no proven top weapon opposite Malik Nabers, and Wilson no longer playing at his peak. Competing in the NFC East will be tough, but results in winnable road games against the Raiders, Patriots, and Saints could determine whether the Giants can improve on last season’s three-win total.
