All signs are pointing to the New York Giants making a serious run at former Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh.
According to CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, the Giants are viewed as one of Harbaugh's top choices, along with the Atlanta Falcons.
However, Bleacher Report's Kristopher Knox predicts the Giants will go in a different direction and will instead hire former Cleveland Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski.
Meanwhile, he has Harbaugh landing with the Falcons.
"The Giants will probably make their run at Harbaugh, who has had more consistent success than Stefanski, plus a Super Bowl on his resume," he said. "The prediction here, though, is that they circle back to Stafanski in an effort to get the most out of Dart and a young offensive group."
Despite their reported interest in Harbaugh, it's not too crazy to think the Giants could end up with Stefanski, a two-time Coach of the Year winner with a career.446 win percentage.
After all, New York has a promising young quarterback in Jaxson Dart who would benefit from an offensive-minded coach like Stefanski.
There is also the scenario where the Giants simply don't have a chance to hire Harbaugh because he opts to go to a different team.
The Falcons aren't a terrible option, as Atlanta is closer to competing after an eight-win season. The Falcons also don't already have a general manager in place like the Giants do and that might be a positive to the Super Bowl-winning head coach.
If the Giants have their pick, they will probably go with Harbaugh because of his history of success in the NFL, but Stefanski would be quite the consolation prize.
