The New York Giants have had a miserable 2025 season.

There were some flashes of optimism earlier this season thanks to rookies Jaxson Dart and Cam Skattebo, but those fizzled out quickly after Skattebo's injury. It's also been hard for Dart to be consistent with a lackluster supporting cast.

The team already fired head coach Brian Daboll during the season, and general manager Joe Schoen may not be safe either. If the season ended today, the Giants would have the No. 1 pick in 2026, and no matter who is making the pick, there's an opportunity to add a truly elite talent.

Destin Adams of A to Z Sports recently published an updated mock draft. Adams didn't allow trades in this mock, and thus had the Giants stay at No. 1 and select wide receiver Jordyn Tyson out of Arizona State.

Tyson is an elite athlete and one of the top receiver prospects in this class. Regarding the potential pick, Adams offered the following analysis:

If the Giants secure the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, they will likely trade it to the highest bidder. However, since this scenario does not involve trades, they are instead targeting Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. This addition would give them a strong young offensive core and form an impressive receiving duo with Malik Nabers.

As Adams mentioned, the Giants would almost certainly want to trade this pick considering they already have Dart in place as the quarterback.

However, this isn't considered to be the deepest quarterback class, and there has to be a team willing to move up for a trade to happen. What if nobody offers a king's ransom for the pick?

The Giants certainly could use another dynamic talent at receiver. Malik Nabers is great, but the LSU product only played in four games this season after getting injured, and the receiver room has been bad without him.

Adding Tyson to the room with Nabers and Skattebo at running back would certainly give the team an intriguing crop of young offensive talent.

In 2025, Tyson played in nine games for Arizona State and caught 61 passes for 711 yards and eight touchdowns. The receiver missed the final three games of the regular season with a hamstring issue, but played well enough before that to be one of the top prospects in 2026.

Overall, Tyson played in 33 games in his college career and caught 158 passes for 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns.
