Russell Wilson threw the ball down the center of the field for Malik Nabers.
It was one of those patented moonball offerings, and Nabers leaped off the ground near the front of the end zone to try and snag it.
But that didn't happen, and Nabers ended up on the ground instead.

Malik Nabers injury update
As Nabers rose up for a leaping catch, his head hung up there defenseless.
The Kansas City Chiefs flew in and appeared to sandwich Nabers a bit, with hard contact to his head as the star WR tried to break up an interception.
Nabers walked to the sideline under his own power.

The game went to a timeout, as the Chiefs had an injury, too.
But after the timeout, Nabers remained out.
That's exactly the kind of reality that the Giants want to avoid. They need their young superstar receiver to have a chance to beat the Chiefs.
