Giants fans think GM Joe Schoen has been fired because of a viral fake post image

The New York Giants already made one big shakeup earlier this season when they fired head coach Brian Daboll.

At the time, they chose to keep GM Joe Schoen aboard to lead the search for a new coach beyond interim Mike Kafka.

Things haven't gotten better for the Giants on the field since then. They're now 2-11.

But that doesn't mean things have changed for Schoen.

Did the Giants fire Joe Schoen?

Contrary to multiple viral posts on social media, Schoen hasn't been fired.

No legitimate NFL reporter has shared such news. Only a couple of parody accounts have posted about it.

One account that tweeted such news has actually been deleted.

The Internet is starting to become a ridiculous place at times with all these fake posts attempting to gain engagement. It's hard to know what to believe.

But on NFL news this big, you know Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport would be on top of it. And they aren't, because it's not real.
