Did Jaxson Dart practice Thursday? Latest injury update on New York Giants QB image

All eyes are on New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart ahead of the Week 11 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Dart suffered a concussion in the Week 10 game against the Chicago Bears that forced his early exit from the contest.

The rookie sensation then started off this week as a non-participant in practice.

Did Dart see an upgrade in participation on Thursday? Here's the latest.

Did Jaxson Dart practice Thursday?

No, Dart did not practice on Thursday, according to the team's official injury report.

This only reinforces that the rookie is not going to play in Week 11, which was confirmed by interim head coach Mike Kafka on Wednesday.

Kafka announced that Jameis Winston, not Russell Wilson, would start in place of Dart on Sunday.

"I think Jameis has done a great job since he's been here, just like all our quarterback room," Kafka said. "I got a lot of trust in that room, being in there all the time, pretty much every single day since we've been here.

"I got a good feel for those guys, and I think Jameis will do a heck of a job. I think he's a great leader, he has a lot of production in this league, and I think he's going to do a great job leading that group."

This is the second time this season that Wilson has been demoted after he was benched for Dart after just three games.

We have to give Wilson credit, though, as he's acted like a true professional in the wake of both demotions.

"Obviously, I want to play, but Jameis has worked his butt off to give him a great opportunity. He's a guy that's played in this league for a long time and he's one of my closest friends," Wilson said.

The Giants and Packers will kick off from MetLife Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
