The New Orleans Saints have some work to do this offseason to better surround Tyler Shough with talent on the offensive side of the ball.

While Chris Olave is a good start, the team could use another wide receiver, some running back help, and potentially another tight end with some Taysom Hill uncertainty.

Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.football is urging the Saints to make a trade with the Buffalo Bills for WR Keon Coleman following the awkward press conference where the owner and GM tried to blame Coleman's selection on the now-fired Sean McDermott.

"I'd throw a late pick at them to bring Keon home," Underhill writes. "Add him to the mix of high-upside, low-risk receivers on this roster that will be competing in the spring."

Underhill wants the Saints to spend a late-round pick on Coleman this offseason. The Bills' wide receiver was a 2nd round pick in 2024, selected 33rd overall. So, why would his price, just two years later, be so cheap?

Well, the Bills owner Terry Pegula, threw Coleman under a bus by saying the now-fired head coach was the person who pushed the envelope for that pick, and not the current GM Brandon Beane.

The Bills essentially tanked any trade leverage that they had with Coleman by trying to shift blame for the draft pick to a fired head coach.

Coleman won't want to keep playing for the Bills after this, and the Bills no longer have any leverage. The Saints, if they wanted to, could trade a late-round pick, maybe even a 7th rounder, to acquire Coleman.

It's not like he's been impressive for the Bills either. He was benched and a healthy scratch at times this season, which already tanked his trade value. But now, after this press conference, the Saints, or any team, could acquire Coleman for a major discount.

Bringing Coleman home to Louisiana would make some sense, as the Saints taking a flyer on a high-upside WR is the exact kind of move this team should make this offseason.

Coleman has two more years on his rookie contract, and if he doesn't pan out, the Saints won't be burning a valuable asset or money on him. This is a worthwhile trade target, and Underhill's urging is something the Saints should listen to this offseason.
