The New Orleans Saints clobbered the New York Jets, 29-6. It was a huge win for the Saints, as it further confirmed that Tyler Shough is the answer at quarterback.
But, one of the biggest results from this Week 16 win wasn't for any rookie or young player; it was with the veteran, Cameron Jordan, who made $800,000 in the win over the Jets.
Nick Underhill of NewOrleans.Football revealed the reasoning for the $800,000 payday for Jordan in Week 16, and it's all thanks to reaching a sack total for an incentive.
How Cameron Jordan made $800,000 in Week 16
"Cam Jordan just made $800,000 today," Underhill posted on Twitter/x shortly after one play made by the veteran pass rusher. That play? A sack of Brady Cook in the second quarter.
Jordan, against the Jets, in one drive near the end of the first half, recorded sacks on back-to-back plays. Those were his lone sacks of the day, but it gave Jordan 8.5 on the year, going beyond his incentive.
By passing his incentive benchmark, Jordan secured an $800,000 payday. While he's made plenty over his NFL career, an extra $800,000 is nothing to scoff at.

The 36-year-old pass rusher has been in the NFL for 15 seasons and is carving out a potential Hall of Fame career.
With eight Pro Bowls, one All-Pro, and a selection to the 2010's Hall of Fame team, along with his now 130 career sacks, Jordan has a strong case for NFL immortality.
If nothing else, his 8.5 sack total this season, the best since his 2022 Pro Bowl year, has shown that Jordan is still a productive pass rusher.
With two weeks left, Jordan will have a chance to reach double-digit sacks for the first time since 2021. But, even if he comes up short of that late-career milestone, Jordan is still going to walk away from this season with an extra $800,000 in his pocket.
