Did any Saints make the 2026 Pro Bowl? Explaining NFL's roster decisions image

The New Orleans Saints are 5-10 and are finally turning things around lately, thanks to the emergence of Kellen Moore's offense with Tyler Shough at quarterback.

Moore and Shough have made for a great pairing so far, but with so much of their success being contained to the last few weeks, the season-long honors likely won't go their way.

But what about the overall team's chances of sending representation to the NFL Pro Bowl in 2026? Well, as Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team shared, the Saints are one of three teams that will not have any players at the Pro Bowl this season.

Are there any Saints representatives at the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl Games?

The Saints don't have any players named to the NFC's initial Pro Bowl roster. Alongside the Saints are the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, lacking any representation. Every other team has at least one representative at the Pro Bowl this season.

Shough was never a realistic option for the Pro Bowl, but the Saints do have a few other options that were deserving of this honor. Alvin Kamara and Cameron Jordan are both veterans who've made plenty of Pro Bowls, but neither is deserving this season.

The biggest snubs for the Saints are wide receiver Chris Olave, cornerbacks Alontae Taylor and Kool-Aid McKinstry, safety Jonas Sanker, pass rusher Chase Young, and linebacker Demario Davis.

Most of the defensive players have had solid seasons, but none stand out as clear snubs. McKinstry and Taylor have been solid, while Sanker, Young, and Davis are having decent seasons as well.

But the biggest and most undeserving snub is Olave. With a rotation at QB this season between Shough and Spencer Rattler, Olave has been one of the best wide receivers in the NFL.

He has 92 receptions for 1,044 yards and eight touchdowns on the year. But the reason why he's not in the Pro Bowl, unfortunately, makes some sense.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba (104 receptions, 1,637 yards, 10 TDs), Puka Nacua (114 catches, 1,592 yards, 8 TDs), George Pickens (88 catches, 1,342 yards, 9 TDs), and Amon-Ra St. Brown (98 catches, 1,194 yards, 11 TDs) are the NFC's WR representatives.

Olave, who has fewer receptions than all but Pickens, fewer yards than all four, and tied for fewest TDs with Nacua, doesn't have an exceptionally strong case over any of them.

But, if one of those WR's drop out of the Pro Bowl for any reason, whether it's an injury, a Super Bowl appearance, or some other reason, then Olave should be next in line as a replacement.

The Saints currently don't have any representation at the 2026 NFL Pro Bowl games, but Olave should be able to find his way to the Pro Bowl as long as one of the top-four WRs elects not to participate for some reason.
