Broncos trade idea lands former first-round wide receiver image

The Denver Broncos' offense has gotten off to a decent start this year.

Through five games, they rank 10th in offensive yards per game (355.2) and 18th in points scored per game (23.4). Solid marks, but for a team with Super Bowl aspirations like Denver, they must see improvements if they want to make their dreams a reality.

Maybe adding another wide receiver to the mix would unlock another level to the Broncos' offense and give second-year quarterback Bo Nix a second viable weapon to throw to.

Broncos trade idea lands Chris Olave from the Saints

In a trade idea proposed by Kristopher Knox of Bleacher Report, the Broncos acquire wide receiver Chris Olave from the New Orleans Saints.

"If the Saints are looking to cash in veteran talent as part of their rebuild, wideout Chris Olave would likely be their top trade chip," wrote Knox.

"The 25-year-old has two 1,000-yard seasons on his resume and appears to again be healthy after injuries limited him to eight games in 2024. Olave has started all five contests this year and caught 33 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown."

Olave could open up Denver's option as a legitimate receiving threat opposite Courtland Sutton. Their skillsets complement each other well and would provide Nix with ample options when he drops back to throw.

Knox has the projected return listed as a conditional first-round pick, meaning it wouldn't be cheap to acquire the former Ohio State star, but if Denver feels their team is sufficiently built and they can lock down Olave long term, they should absolutely do it.
