The New Orleans Saints have had a terrible season and at 2-9, there are several areas where the team could consider some changes. It appears they are considering starting with the kicking position.

Blake Grupe has struggled kicking the ball in his third season with the Saints and through 11 games, has made just 69 percent of his kicks. Though he has made all of his extra point attempts, he has missed eight field goals. He missed two field goals in the team's 24-10 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

Stuck in a funk, Grupe likely got the last piece of news he wanted to hear on Monday morning when it was reported that the team was going to bring in Justin Tucker for a tryout. Tucker is not just any kicker. Though his name has been in the news for all the wrong reasons lately, he is one of the best kickers in NFL history.

Tucker currently ranks fourth in NFL history in field goal accuracy, making 89.1 percent of his career kicks. With all three names ahead of him being active kickers, he could easily reclaim that No. 1 spot without ever kicking again. But it appears that he does want to kick again and while the Saints are a struggling franchise, it could be the perfect place for him to reclaim his footing.

The Saints play indoors and though Tucker seemed to lose some of his power and accuracy during his final season with the Baltimore Ravens, he's still better than many of the league's current kickers, even at 36 years old.

Grupe kicked the ball well in his first two seasons with the team as an undrafted rookie out of Notre Dame. He was officially awarded the job when the team traded Wil Lutz to the Denver Broncos. But now, Grupe's fate is likely no longer in his hands and he could very well be out in New Orleans.
