The New Orleans Saints entered the weekend in danger of not having running back Alvin Kamara for the Week 12 game against the Atlanta Falcons.
Kamara has been a regular on the injury report this season with an ankle issue, and he is once again on the report this week. Kamara turned in three limited practices before drawing the questionable tag for Week 12.
We've seen Kamara play with only limited practices several times during his career, but the questionable tag still leaves him uncertain to play.
Here's the latest injury update on Kamara, along with some start or sit advice for the veteran running back.
Is Alvin Kamara playing today?
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Kamara is expected to play on Sunday.
"Saints RB Alvin Kamara, dealing with an ankle issue the past several weeks and listed as questionable, is slated to go, source said," Rapoport reported.
Another positive sign for Kamara is the fact that the Saints didn't elevate a running back from the practice squad on Saturday. That indicates the Saints believe Kamara is going to play.
Alvin Kamara start or sit advice for Week 12
Kamara enters Week 12 ranked as RB31 overall in terms of fantasy points per game, which makes him a fringe flex option and not a lineup lock week to week.
This week, Kamara, who is coming off his best fantasy performance of the 2025 season, gets a Falcons defense ceding the fourth-most fantasy points per game to running backs.
As a result, we feel comfortable starting Kamara in the flex spot on Sunday.
