Stefon Diggs ends notable drought with massive touchdown against Texans image

Sunday afternoon's playoff game between the Patriots and the Texans doesn't have the most ideal weather conditions, meaning every point a team can accumulate is huge.

The Patriots' defense set the offense up well to start the game, and with a four point lead, they were in a position to get more points up on the board.

That's exactly what they did, as Stefon Diggs scored a massive touchdown to extend the New England lead to a two-possession game.

What drought did Stefon Diggs end on his touchdown?

Diggs' late second-quarter touchdown was his fifth career postseason touchdown, and it was the first time in a long time that he got a touchdown on the board in a playoff game.

His touchdown against the Texans was his first in a postseason game since the 2020-21 playoffs.

In his eight previous playoff games, he wasn't able to score a touchdown, despite playing for some talented Bills teams that made deep playoff runs.

Diggs' touchdown also came against his former team, after he played with the Texans last year.

If the Patriots go on to win, they'll face the Broncos in Denver next week for the AFC Championship.
