Stefon Diggs calls out the haters as he helps Patriots reach Super Bowl image

Stefon Diggs had played in conference championship games for the Minnesota Vikings and Buffalo Bills.

But he had never reached the Super Bowl, until Sunday, when his New England Patriots beat the Denver Broncos, 10-7, in the AFC Championship Game.

Diggs was relishing in the moment after the game.

He spoke with NFL Network's Cameron Wolfe, and he called out all the doubters.

“They were calling me washed," Diggs said. "Saying I didn’t have it anymore. I just wanted to prove to myself I am who I say I am.”

Diggs was grateful that the Patriots gave him a chance in free agency after a torn ACL in 2024, his lone season with the Houston Texans.

“This team took a chance on me," Diggs said. "I just wanted to make them proud.”

Diggs did what he could on an ugly, cold, snowy day in Denver.

He caught five passes from Drake Maye, although the receptions only went for 17 yards total.

Diggs had a great season, more than 1,000 yards, and he's the Pats' No. 1 WR.

With clear weather much more likely in the Super Bowl in California, Diggs will have a chance to make his mark.

And with his mind set on proving the haters wrong, he may just have a big game in his first chance at a Super Bowl.
