The New England Patriots are on fire.

That can be summed up with this post on X from MassLive's Chris Cotillo: "The last time the Patriots lost was 11 days before the last time the Red Sox lost."

Is that real? Yes, yes it is.

The Patriots last lost on September 21. They started the season 1-2, losing Week 1 to the Raiders, winning Week 2 against the Dolphins and then losing Week 3 to the Steelers.

Since then, the Patriots have won nine games in a row to improve to 10-2. They don't even have their bye until Week 14, with Week 13's matchup with the Giants still to play.

The Red Sox made it to the AL Wild Card series against the New York Yankees and won Game 1, but then they lost two in a row.

Boston fell on Oct. 2, 4-0, to end its season at the hands of a gem from Cam Schlittler.

New England, which plays in Foxboro just outside Boston, has a large swath of crossover fans with the Red Sox. And right now, the Pats are making it feel like old times.

They've had 20 seasons of at least 10 wins since 2000, which is astounding.

They had just a few down years after Tom Brady's departure, but now Drake Maye has made believers once again out of Patriots fans everywhere.

They lead the AFC East by three games in the win column over the Buffalo Bills.

Entering 2025, the expectation would've been that the Red Sox would have a better season than the Pats.

Now? The sky feels like the limit for Maye and the Patriots.
