Patriots' Drake Maye is leading entire NFL in impressive QB stat image

Drake Maye showed the entire NFL how good he can be.

On Sunday Night Football in Week 5, Maye made a bunch of big-time throws to shock the Buffalo Bills in the best win the New England Patriots have had in years.

The second-year QB made the best throw of his career, rolling right and delivering a dime on the run up the right sideline to Stefon Diggs.

That was just one of many throws down the field that Maye has succeeded on this year.

Maye leads the NFL in completion percentage on passes that had an air yardage of 10-plus yards, meaning they traveled at least 10 yards down the field before they reached their target.

NFL analyst Warren Sharp shared these rankings on Wednesday:

It's hard to complete that many passes down the field. Inherently, they have a lower built-in completion percentage.

Maye has been accurate all over the field this season. His overall completion percentage is 73.9%.

Maye has thrown for 1,261 yards through five games (3-2 record) with seven touchdowns and just two interceptions. All his rate stats have improved from his rookie season. Maye has also run 27 times for 110 yards and two more TDs.

If he keeps playing like this, the Pats' future will feel like it has arrived right now.
