NFL legend blasts Hall of Fame voters for egregious Bill Belichick snub image

Bill Belichick will not be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, as the legendary New England Patriots head coach didn't receive 40 out of 50 votes to get inducted into Canton as a first-ballot member.

Belichick being snubbed from the Hall of Fame on his first try is absolutely criminal. The six-time Super Bowl-winning head coach is one of the most iconic figures in league history and arguably the greatest coach of all time.

One NFL legend who couldn't believe Belichick missed the cut for the Hall of Fame is J.J. Watt, who blasted the voters in a tweet after the news broke.

"I can’t be reading this right," Watt said on X. "This has to be some knock-off Hall of Fame or something, it can’t be the actual NFL Hall of Fame. There is not a single world whatsoever in which Bill Belichick should not be a First-Ballot Hall of Famer."

Watt will be in Canton one day, as well as Belichick. Though he didn't make it this go around, there's no way the73-year-old doesn't get enshrined into the Hall of Fame at some point in the next few years.

Though Belichick's Patriots tenure ended in disaster, and his first year coaching North Carolina didn't go well, there's no reason why he shouldn't be a first-ballot Hall of Famer.

The Hall of Fame voting made an egregious mistake by failing to vote in Belichick on his first attempt, and it's one that will be remembered for a very long time.
