The New England Patriots are soaring for the first time in a long time. At 10-2, they hold the NFL's best record and the No. 1 seed in the AFC as Mike Vrabel as put himself in the front of the race for Coach of the Year.
It's Vrabel's former coach in New England that made headlines on Tuesday. Josina Anderson reports that six-time Super Bowl champion head coach Bill Belichick has multiple teams interested in him to become their next head coach.
"I'm told 'at least two NFL teams' are still expected to have interest in talking to Bill Belichick, behind-the-scenes at the very least, about head coach jobs this Carousel season, per a league source," Anderson reports on X. "A third team could also enter the mix, with desires to talk, particularly if one specific personnel change is made under ownership, the source added."
Belichick is currently the head coach at the University of North Carolina, where his Tar Heels are currently 4-7 and 13th in the ACC standings. Belichick had interviewed for the Atlanta Falcons head coaching job in 2024, but Atlanta decided to go with Raheem Morris. He then took the 2024 season off, making appearances on The Pat McAfee Show throughout the season before accepting the job at North Carolina.
