What happened to Christian Darrisaw? Vikings left tackle exits Week 5 game early image

The Minnesota Vikings welcomed back left tackle Christian Darrisaw in Week 3 and he went on to play a full complement of snaps in Week 4.

Darrisaw, who finally returned from a torn ACL and MCL suffered in 2024, played 38 snaps in his debut before doubling his snap counts to 76 in Week 4.

However, the Vikings left tackle exited the Week 5 game against the Cleveland Browns early, which led to an injury concern from fans.

Thankfully, that is not behind his early exit.

What happened to Christian Darrisaw?

ESPN's Kevin Seifert reports that the Vikings said Darrisaw was pulled because he was on a snap limit, which is part of the plan as he continues to get back into form.

"No injury for Vikings LT Christian Darrisaw, per the Vikings. Part of his plan as he rounds back into shape from his ACL/MCL tear. At his snap limit," Seifert wrote.

"Darrisaw played 76 snaps last week, which is a lot. He took two planned rest days during the practice week," Seifert added.

Well, that's certainly great news, as the Vikings' offensive line is already extremely banged-up. Minnesota is absolutely making the right move thinking big picture with Darrisaw, who is incredibly important to the offense.
